Major Dhan Singh Thapa PVC (1928–2005) was an Indian Army officer from the 8th Gorkha Rifles. He was awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest military decoration for valor, for his incredible bravery during the 1962 Sino-Indian War. Defending the Sirijap-1 outpost in Ladakh, he and his platoon repelled overwhelming waves of Chinese attacks under heavy artillery fire.
