1815

सुगौली सन्धि र पहिलो भर्ती

The Anglo-Nepal War concludes. The Treaty of Sugauli allows the East India Company to recruit Gorkha soldiers, beginning a legacy of valor in the British Indian Army that endures to this day.

1857

भारतीय स्वतन्त्रताको पहिलो युद्ध

Gorkha regiments stand as a decisive force during the Sepoy Mutiny. Their loyalty and bravery earn them lasting respect, and new regiments are raised in their honor.

1914 – 1918

खाईहरूमा वीरता

Over 100,000 Gorkha soldiers serve in World War I across France, Mesopotamia, and Gallipoli. Their gallantry in the trenches becomes legendary across the world.

1939 – 1945

दोस्रो विश्वयुद्ध: विश्वव्यापी गोर्खा

More than 250,000 Gorkhas fight across Burma, North Africa, and Italy. Individual acts of extraordinary bravery earn numerous Victoria Crosses.

1947

विभाजित राष्ट्र, एकताबद्ध आत्मा

Following Indian independence, the Tripartite Agreement divides the Gorkha regiments between India and Britain. Seven regiments join the Indian Army, continuing their legacy on new fronts.

1962 – 1999

उपमहाद्वीपका रक्षकहरू

From the frozen heights of the Sino-Indian War to the decisive actions in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War and the icy peaks of Kargil, Gorkha soldiers remain on the front lines of India's defense.

2003 – Present

पहिचानको खोजी

The Gorkhaland movement gains momentum, seeking recognition and a separate state. The struggle for identity continues, alongside efforts to preserve language, culture, and heritage for future generations.
